
Nigeria Records 288 fresh COVID-19 Cases as Total Infections Exceed 44,000
Nigeria has recorded 288 more cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing its total infections to 44,129.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on Monday night via Twitter.
The Health agency, NCDC data showed that the latest COVID-19 cases were confirmed in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A breakdown of the new infections revealed that they were confirmed as follows: Lagos-88 Kwara-33 Osun-27 FCT-25 Enugu-25 Abia-20 Kaduna-17 Plateau-13 Rivers-13 Delta-10 Gombe-8 Ogun-4 Oyo-3 Katsina-1 Bauchi-1
Of the confirmed infections in Nigeria, 896 persons have died due to complications from the disease while 20,663 cases have been successfully managed and discharged as the total confirmed cases hits 44,129.
