Nigeria confirms 138 fresh covid-19 cases, Two deaths
Nigeria has recorded 138 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The new infections bring the country’s total caseload to 53,865 with a combined death toll of 1,013; 41,513 persons have recovered from the virus.
The health agency released the latest figures in a late-night tweet on Sunday.
Of the new cases, Plateau reported the highest among the states with 55, while Lagos ranked second with 15.
Other regions with new cases include Lagos-15 Ebonyi-11 Oyo-11 Abia-8 Anambra-7 FCT-7 Rivers-7 Kaduna-6 Ondo-5 Kwara-3 Bauchi-1 Benue-1 Edo-1
