Covid-19: Nigeria records 601 new cases, one death
Nigeria has recorded 601 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The new infections bring the country’s total caseload to 51,905 with a combined death toll of 997; 38,767 persons have recovered from the virus.
The health agency released the latest figures in a late-night tweet on Saturday.
Of the new cases, Lagos reported the highest among the states with 404, while the FCT ranked second with 37.
Other regions with new cases include Oyo-19 Ondo-14 Abia-13 Enugu-13 Kaduna-13 Edo-12 Kano-12 Kwara-11 Ebonyi-10 Nasarawa-7 Ogun-6 Osun-5 Delta-5 Niger-5 Plateau-4 Bayelsa-4 Katsina-3 Ekiti-2 Imo-2.
