Covid-19: Nigeria Records 593 New cases, 4 deaths
Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 593 new cases of the novel coronavirus as the country’s total number of confirmed infections hit 50,488.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the news in a late-night tweet.
The country’s virus epicentre, Lagos, reported 172 new cases, while Plateau posted 186 new infections, highest for the day.
Other states with new cases include:
FCT-62 Oyo-27 Delta-25 Rivers-20 Ondo-19 Edo-18 Kaduna-17 Enugu-12 Akwa Ibom-10 Ogun-7 Abia-6 Gombe-6 Kano-3 Osun-3.
Four new deaths were recorded as the total toll from the virus reached 985.
However, the number of recovered patients rose to 37,304.
