Covid-19: Nigeria records 197 Fresh Cases including 5 deaths
Nigeria has recorded 197 new COVID-19 cases, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
In its latest update on Thursday night, the new infections were reported in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and 12 other states of the federation.
While Plateau topped the list with 83 cases, Lagos came second with 48 infections followed closely by Kaduna with 17 new cases.
Other states include – FCT-16, Ogun-11, Katsina-7, Imo-4, Edo-3, Nasarawa-3, Rivers-2, Bayelsa-1, Oyo-1, Osun-1.
With this, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 55,829 with 43,810 people successfully managed and discharged.
However, 1,075 people have died from the virus in the country.
