The Lagos State Government says it intends to eliminate yellow transports as per its transportation masterplan of the state.
Official for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, said this in a virtual discussion on Thursday, adding that the transports would be supplanted by blue transports.
The virtual gathering was named ‘Transport and traffic meeting’.
He said, “We are improving the transport area and after some time, Lagos will eliminate the yellow transports in light of the fact that the yellow transports are not favorable for a uber city like Lagos. That is the reason we are accompanying blue transports you see around.
“We are welcoming the private area to partake in the arrangement of public vehicle administrations. We are likewise conveying innovation just to guarantee that we can up our game regarding proficiency.”
Reacting to questions raised with respect to the Apapa gridlock, the magistrate said the public authority was focused on completion the traffic danger by submitting hectares of land in Iganmu and Ogun as travel truck leaves while depending on the Eto application which would be conveyed on February 27.
He said, “Lagos State in a joint effort with the Nigerian Ports Authority welcomed a concessionaire and that concessionaire built up an Eto application that will be conveyed February 27.
